Peter Lovett

I was very sad to hear earlier today that Honorary Life Member Peter Lovett passed away this morning. Peter will be greatly missed by many of our members. I don’t have any further information at the moment so I will pass on any further information I receive here in the Members’ News.

Peter and his wife Barbara, from Market Harborough, joined the SOC in 2003 and rallied regularly until they retired from caravanning and became an Honorary Life Members just a few years ago.

Our thoughts are with Barbara and their family at this sad time.

Colin Middleweek

I have just been notified that sadly long-standing member Colin Middleweek passed away on Friday 28th October.

Colin and his late wife Mo, from Tattershall in Lincolnshire, joined the club back in 1991. They were very active members especially in the East of England. They were experienced travellers, attended Continental Club Rallies and travelled a lot abroad with their caravan. Many members will remember them well and that Colin was known for his speciality, Harvey Wallbanger cocktails.

Colin and his wife Mo unfortunately had to stop caravanning on health grounds and Mo passed away last year. Colin was an Honorary Life Member and will be greatly missed.

I will pass on any further information I receive here in the Members’ News.
