Rally No 55: New Year at Maidenhead 2022/23

Come and join the fun at Maidenhead 29th December to January 2nd

This is a 4 night rally, with an evening meal each night.  In addition to the meals there will be professional entertainment and disco to see the New Year in.

Following our tradition of having themed evenings, this year will be no exception.   There will be two themed evenings, the first being on the 30th December.  On this night the theme will be James Bond related, so a chance for the gentleman to wear their DJ’s while the ladies no doubt will dress to impress.

On New Years Eve, and in keeping with the SOC 50th Anniversary year theme, we will be returning to the decade the club for formed.  A chance to relive your youth and dress in what would have been the costume of the day and welcome in the new year 70’s style.

The rally opens on 29th December at 2pm,  please do not arrive before this time.

The cost of the rally is:  unit with 2 people  £135,   single person in a unit £90
                                           children under 16 £20,  additional adults £45

It has been difficult to cost this rally due to the changing economic situation we find ourselves in.  We hope that the prices remain as stated, should there be a need to make adjustments we will contact you.

Please note that this is a pre-paid rally. Booking forms can be sent electronically to karenatimothy@hotmail.com with RBV numbers (please remember to bring the RBV with you!) Please ensure booking forms and payments are completed by 18th November preferably using electronic transfer using the sort code  09-01-51 and account number 61725503    with the refence  R755-Membership number- Name  (by means of example Fred Bloggs, member 9876,   would use the reference   R755-9876-Bloggs)  This reference format has been requested by the treasurer, please help him by using it in the way shown.  Deposits can be made either by RBV or by direct transfer using the banking details above.

Retirement of Club Trustee

After many years as a serving Trustee for the club, Dave Spall has taken the difficult decision to step away from the position of Trustee.

Jan and Dave have been members of the club for over 37 years and after recently deciding to sell their Motorhome now become Honorary Life Members of the club. In correspondence to me, Dave and Jan send their best wishes to the club and would like to encourage members to take up positions on the committee or as officers to help take the club forward.

Jan has offered to continue in her role as Editor for Going Places until the Spring edition of 2023 has been published, she will then retire from that position.

Elaine Baker,

Club Secretary.
