Swift Corvette, any known faults?

Postby argyll » October 3rd, 2007, 5:58 pm

Hello to you all :D
I am going to be looking at a 1991 ish (?) Swift Corvette as my wife and i would like to try caravanning but we dont want to spend a small fortune on a van just incase we dont like it :| and the Corvette seems to be very reasonable (£750). Other than the usual possible problems damp, springy floors etc is there anything else to look out for on this model?
More daft questions to follow  !!
thanks in advance

Hi,

Are you from Plymouth and if so is the van at Plymouth Caravans?

The Corvette was a popular model and, other than the areas you mention, you should have little to worry about. It's worth checking the plumbing for leaks due to frost damage and making sure that the tap micro-switches work. Can be messy to fix these problems.
