Carver Cascade Mk1 water heater

This was a gas only heater where the burner hung below the floor of the caravan. The water was contained in a mushroom shaped globe inside the van at floor level. It had a capacity of 2 gallons (9 litres) and was usually covered with a red insulating jacket. The Mk1 was used in UK made vans from 1979 until 1984 when it was superseded by the Cascade Mk2.
