Rally 17: Top Barn Farm, Holt Heath, Worcs,17th – 21st July

There are a few places still available on this lovely location in the Worcestershire countryside. The marshals Rose Wasley & John Arthur would love to see you there.

The site is bordering the banks of the River Severn and you will find on site a farm shop, cafe, fishing pools, cute farm park animals and crazy golf.

In addition the Chris Jones Leisure Caravan dealership is in the complex too.

Full booking information is on page 50 of your Rally Venues Book.

If you are a new member then this would be a great rally to join us.

Beryl Chamberlain

We have received today the very sad news on the loss of a long serving Honorary Life Member of the Club.

With husband Tom they joined the Club in 1980 and have given good loyal service to the club over all these years. Beryl had a spell in hospital was then discharged and receiving care at home and making progress until she had a fall and broke six ribs causing a return to hospital where she passed away on the 6th of May at the age of 96.

There has not been a funeral but a small gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life.

I have spoken to Tom, obviously very sad and receives help from a long time friendly neighbour and a relative living nearby, Tom is 97 years of age and speaks about their life in the Club that has given them so much enjoyment over the many years they spent with their caravan. For those that remember it was when their caravan was stolen that they decided to retire and not renew their caravan. They have always been so appreciative of all the care and attention given over the many years by the membership.

As of yesterday the 2nd June they would have been married 74 years, quite remarkable.

SOC Recipe Book

As promised ahead of this year’s AGM, I have produced an initial version of the SOC Recipe Book containing recipes from members submitted so far. The book is expandable and can be updated three or four times a year (or more frequently if required), so please do continue sending your recipes to me at recipes@swift-owners-club.com following the guidance included in the Introduction to the book. Recipes don’t have to be complicated or difficult to follow, so anything that can be easily produced whilst away in your unit is absolutely fine.

The Recipe Book in its current format is an eBook and you can readily access it by clicking on the image of the front cover on the General Info Main Page within the members section of the website. However, you can open it now via this link

It opens as a webpage and you will probably want to close the advert banner at the top & bottom of the screen! On a PC or laptop, the book can be made ‘Fullscreen’ by double clicking one of the pages. Pages can be turned forwards or backwards via the right > & left < hand arrow symbols, or using your fingers on a touchscreen. If you have any comments or feedback, please provide them via the email address above. I hope you enjoy trying out some of the recipes.
