Mum’s funeral has been given the go ahead for this Friday 23^rd December.

St Cross Church Clayton, 611 Ashton New Road, Manchester M11 4UA, 11 am, meet 10:45

Dukinfield Crematorium 12:00, Hall Green Road Dukinfield SK16 4EP

Then straight after to Delph Band Club, Lawton Square, Delph, Saddleworth OL3 5DT

As you probably know Mum loved Christmas and Brass Bands.

In the spirit of Christmas, the dress code will be Christmas Jumpers/tie or something sparkly, or whatever you feel comfortable in.

If any of my brass band family would be able to play at all 3 venues can you message me please. I’ll provide the music and a pint later.

Please note that the 2023 Rally Books currently in the post, do not have the correct address listed for the Treasurer. The correct address is shown on the GENERAL INFO page in the INFORMATION FOR RALLY MARSHAL’S section and also on the Rally Accounts Sheet (July 22).

The address has been corrected in the online version of the Rally Book which will be available to renewed members from January.

Occasionally club related emails are received on mine or Val Brailsford’s personal email addresses. If you have sent any email to those addresses anytime between last Thursday 8th and Wednesday 14th, we have not and will not receive it. Please kindly resend it now.

We have had a major issues with our domain name host which are now fully resolved.

This has not affected any swift-owners-club.com email accounts such as Webmaster, President and Facebook.

The new 2023 Rally book has been taken to the post office today for all members who have renewed. Please allow up to 10 days for delivery.

I was very sad to hear that long-standing member Mavis Vizard passed away suddenly yesterday.

Mavis along with her husband Norman joined the SOC in 1990 and were regular ralliers for many years in the early days, particularly in the NW area where they lived at the time. In more recent years they have only attended a few rallies due to family commitments.

Mavis will be greatly missed by many of our members who have rallied with her.

Our thoughts are with Norman and her family at this sad time.

I will pass on any further information I receive here in the Members’ News.

It’s a lovely little site with 16 amp electrics.and ideal to visit York to get into the Christmas Spirit.

Peter’s funeral will take place at South Leicestershire Crematorium,  Foston Road, Countesthorpe, Leicester, LE8 5QP on Tuesday 6^th December at 2pm.

If you are going to attend, please let Bernard Wells (area7@swift-owners-club.com) know as he is liaising with the family.
