Message for Marshals & ACMs from the Rally Book Editor

Will all rally marshals and ACMs please ensure that all necessary information required for the 2022 Rally Book is complete, finalised and in my possession by 30 October 2021 ABSOLUTE LATESTAnything received after this date is unlikely to be included in the publication.

IMPORTANT: The 2020 Accounts Pack in the AGM Documents section had to be amended late on 19th Sept. due to a strange problem with the conversion to PDF. I was notified that negative numbers do not appear!

A Message From The Editor

The Autumn edition of Going Places will be a month later than normal in line with the Spring & Summer editions so you have until 30th October to send copy to me. I would really appreciate some rally reports etc as most of the reports I have had so far are from the same source.

Rally No 49: Couplands Open Weekend, Louth, 14th – 17th October

We now have a new venue and date for the re-arranged preview rally at Couplands dealership in Louth to coincide with the release of the new 2022 Swift Caravans.

The new date is Thursday 14th October to Sunday 17th October. (Extra nights are available at £18/night inc. EHU). The rally will open at 12 noon.

The site address is Northolme Farm, North End, Alvingham, LOUTH. LN11 0QH

The Rally that coincides with this is from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th October. Please book your place via the website.

All paperwork for the AGM is now available to download via the website. See AGM Documentation Section on the General Information page in the Members’ Area.

This year the AGM will be held on the Saturday.

If you are planning to JUST attend the meeting, please can you let Val Brailsford know asap via phone, text, Messenger or email. This will allow us to manage the registration of members for the meeting and catering on the day.  (Own cups please).

Please ensure you have your membership card with you for entry to the meeting.

Although it is not a Club requirement, for the safety of you and others around you it is recommended that you take a Lateral Flow Test prior to attending the meeting/rally. Face coverings are not mandatory they are to be worn at your own discretion.

September Rallies – 2 Updates from the Rally Secretary

Rally No 49 – Couplands/Brayford Leisure Open Weekend is now cancelled, However, the Marshals are looking to move the rally to date in October. So please keep an eye on the Web page for further details. Details on Page 70 of the current Rally Book.

Rally No 52 Relax @ Copt Oak Markfield Leicestershire This Rally presently has a low entry number and may be cancelled if there are no further entries. So if you thinking of attending this relaxed rally in lovely surrounding with good easy walks please contact the Marshals as soon as possible. Details on Page 74 of the current Rally Book

A Memorial Service for John Rowe

A Memorial Service has been arranged for John Rowe at 2pm Wednesday 22nd September, St. Martin’s Church, Zeals, Wiltshire BA12 6PG

This service has been planned in mid-week to provide an opportunity for friends coming from a distance to use a caravan and stay in the area.
